....A young worshipper caught in action at church. She delighted me, as I watched her excitement and sincerity while singing praises to God. She knew all the words to all the songs we sang. And I was reminded of Jesus' words that we must come to Him like a child...... with that wonder and awe...... innocence and joy..... for He is 'Abba', our Father, who 'takes great delight in us, and quiets us with his love, He also rejoices over us with singing." (Zephaniah 3:17)
How awesome that the Creator of the Universe also rejoices over *ME*....and You... and this little girl who is so excited about her Maker! And how very humbling...........
My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;

Pink really catches my ooh la la eye. And I really appreciate that some evangelical groups have gotten hip to environmental issues and nature's connection to God.
yes....there are many christians speaking out and encouraging good stewardship of this earth....as we are called to do in the Bible.
http://www.christiansforthemountains.org/ is a good site speaking out against mountaintop removal.
Thank you for this beautiful picture of the child and her faith. Thanks for the reminder that we all need to have that kind of Faith.
its a lovely pic, blue and I could not take my eyes off her golden Rapunzel -like tresses
And to think that "he rejoices over us with singing." And the progression is that first "he quiets us with his his love" so we can hear him singing over us. There is so much clatter and distraction around us. I, for one need to be quieted. How can I ever hear his singing when my heart and mind are full of clatter!
Thank you for this beautifully illustrated devotional.
lindah- 'he rejoices over us with singing'....that part of the verse is especially moving to me, too. thanks for stopping by and adding your thoughts!
I love it. It speak to me especially today as I let myself get weighted down by very "grown-up" burdens.
I am His child! I can deposit my burdens at His feet & He will allow me to be the child that I am.
Phenomenal pic sweetie. I’m still impressed at how you can take one snapshot of life and weave a story around it. Especially one that so eloquently brings the scriptures to life.
Love ya.

Beautiful post--thank you!
Having a father-child relationship with God is something I have often thought about, especially now that I have a child of my own.
Sweet! I love watching the kids in church. Such innocence and trust.
