I'm not sure which swing I like the best. Do I want to be a kid again or act my age? I think I'll use the tire...Great shots.

Do I sense a deep longing here?
Your choice of black and white is perfect for these shots. Each one is a nice composition.

Black and white! I have a weakness for black and white. There is an evocotiveness to them that makes them ageless. Wonderful pictures!

Hello, Amy! The pictures are very nice. I especially like the first one. I must ask, how much (if any) snow did y'all get Wednesday? We got 4 inches! By Friday afternoon, it felt like spring, though.

I think you must be channeling Ansel Adams with the stark b&w and straightforward composition of simple scenes of everyday life.

Beautiful only begins to describe this set of photos. Consider me moved. Thanks!

Everything looks to be held in suspended animation. Soon we'll all be animated! Maybe sometime you can drop by and have a porch vacation with me. We could talk about all the deeper and complicated issues that take time and are hard to talk in public on blogs. I appreciate the spirit from which your prespectives come.

Thanks for stopping by. Seems we are of the same opinions. I can always use another kindred spirit in my blog life!

Great pictures. I love to see your take on Appalachia. These winter scenes are fantastic.

Love these shots! Very Ansel Adams-ish.

We watched a John Denver show the other night and I thought of you when I heard:

Country Roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads

Try to stay warm, spring is on the way!
