No Need To Fear........

Sir Laughsalot is here!!!!

Or should I say, Robin Hood? Either way, there was no need to be afraid of this big, green monster we came across at The Maryland Rennaisance Festival , with such a brave companion at my side.

Sir Laughsalot started the day as a knight, but happened across this super cool hat and changed roles for the day. That's the fun of the festival.....both children AND adults get to play make-believe!

Much more to come, but this fair maiden needs her beauty rest after a long weekend of being rescued from ugly green trolls and keeping up with a 5 year-old in Wonderland........

At times, the reality looks more charming and wonderful than the imaginary world as it borrows those richly coloured robes from the world that throbs in one's heart and weaves resplendently hued strings over them which are caressed by seasons...only to take a breather from the harsh world one lives...

I want you to watch Bergman's Academy winner "Fanny and Alexander" when you find sometime

take care...Jyo

yes, rosie...they did have elephant rides. we stood in line for about 25 minutes for one, and then sir laughsalot decided he didn't want to do it !
i think he inherited his momma's fear of heights. :)

this festival is incredible....i believe it's the second largest in the nation.

Well I think he's scary as all get out.

I should pull out some old photos of my sons at the Ren faires when we lived in Texas. Oh did they love those swords, getting knighted and all.
