wordless wednesday...

"I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape—the loneliness of it—the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show." -Andrew Wyeth

mark... i thought 'eerie', the way it came out in development. it didn't seem a creepy place at the time, but the fog and rain distorted the photo... that's what i like about it. kind of captures the drear of winter....

Shhh.

I love Wyeth and photos of that same spirit he tapped into.

Beautiful winter shot. I've been taking a lot of these lately to, the winter light can be absolutely beautiful.

When you feel the bone structure of the landscape....what a word picture. I like your shot to go with the quote. Nice black and white.

so true.........i love the bare branches......guess i would not like them as much if they were bare through the year but change of seasons is what i always look forward to ...did not get to see much of them while in Florida...but am enjoying the change in scenery around me right now :)

Mmmmm, I love this photograph -- great job, Blue! Love how the fog feels so thick and is so white, but how the green of the grass comes up and shocks you in contrast. Also love the texture of the red building.

Beautiful quote and lovely photo. I'm so thrilled to find someone else who loves Sujan Stevens! My brother introduced me to his music, and I just love it. God bless.

I just want to melt into this picture. Really. And the quote, I can relate to that... there is something beautiful in seeing the underlying shape of things.

i just came across this quote and had to share it with you, Blue....

“At Christmas I no more desire a rose / Than wish a snow in May's new-fangled mirth / But like of each thing that in season grows."

You said it, Shakespeare! :)

This is a really good photo too. I really like the quote you picked too. I take photos of abandoned farm houses and that is kind of how I feel about them as well.

Oh! I never thanked you for the photo.

Thank you. It is so lovely, so evocative.
