For Christianne....
Cloths of Heaven...
Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
-W.B. Yeats

oh, blue. thank you for loving me the way you do. this poem is so soft and gentle to read. it feels like someone caressing my face, softly wiping the tears away with a small and special smile. that last line is so special, such an endearing plea: tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
thank you, my friend. love to you and care for you from here.
ps: your new profile pic is so rich and beautiful. i liked the little girl one you had, too. this one, though, holds me captive.
christianne... i have been where you are, when all you can do is lay your heart's desires and dreams at the feet of God, in desperation, and tell him,"here they are, they're yours... i don't know what to do with what's in my heart"
He has such big plans for you, dear girl. don't lose sight of those dreams.....
blue, you have no idea how you took the words exactly out of my mouth. that's exactly what happened on thursday. you'll get to hear more about it, but yeah. you get me. i know you get this.
beautiful words. sometimes only poetry is appropriate, isn't it? here our dear girl is, standing in the shadow of this God-sized dream, & feeling overwhelmed. as a wise woman [aka, my mom] once said, then you know you're in the right place: the only choice is to surrender those dreams back to the One who gave them in the first place.
prayers & love to you, christianne as always. blessings to you blue. always a tender & thoughtful word to be found here. :o)
peace,
