That is a beautiful shot!!
That's a keeper, to be sure. Beautiful imagery. That swing looks so lonely!
I bet that's a wonderful spot to be in at Spring-time.
Beautiful shot. We're anxiously awaiting spring here too!
Excellent use of Black and White. Really a nice photo.
Beautiful picture. I want to sit on the swing for a while.
I like the photo. I love your pictures because they are so familiar. I live in East Tennessee, so I love the Appalachian mountains with you! I love trees and the woods, and what I love about the mountians here are the rolling hills along side of them.
what an incredibly gorgeous picture. it even makes winter look pretty!
Lovely.....
I am having fun with your sis and the youngin's and loving on them! :)
I know she hopes to see you soon!
This is a wonderful shot. It should be the cover of a book.
Very nice -- kind of lonely and hopeful at the same time. Happy WW.
WHat a beautiful photo. Happy WW
rebekah- eastern tennessee is beautiful. i drive through there every time i go to visit my family in western NC. there is a little town called erwin right at the base of sam's gap(before you go over the mountain to asheville) that i adore. my car broke down there once and the people were so friendly and helpful. i used to go on business trips with my dad to johnson city a lot, too.
I love tire swings.
We haven't seen any snow and today you can go out without a coat it's so warm
that's neat! i like it...mine's up too!
That looks about like how I feel. I'm so tired of winter. Happy WW.
I love this shot. It gives me a really peaceful feeling...playthings resting and waiting for the return of summer.
No matter. It is truly lovely.
Beautiful shot, so evocative. You would love our Australian weather - it's summer here!
hi david! yes, i'm sure i would love your weather. i'm okay with wintry weather until after the holidays....then i start longing for spring. soon enough, soon enough.....
What a cool pic. Wish I would've taken it!
Hi! Glad you found my blog :-) I was just thinking about your family the other day...how is everybody?
love the composition...........i dont wanna bore you with poetry every time i come here but i can't help it if your images/words remind me of some of my fav. verses!!!!
This one's from RL Stevenson...and i have loved it right from my childhood days!!!! it's a poem right after my heart, Blue.....hope you like it :)
How do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!
Up in the air and over the wall, Till I can see so wide,
River and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside--
Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown--
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!
moi- poetry is NEVER a bore. post it as much as you like! and Robert Louis Stevenson is a fave of sir laughsalot and his mama.
A Wonderful image! And Perfect Caption!
Definitely waiting for Spring over here. It's so gray and windy.
A tire tied to a tree always makes me feel at home.
