In anticipation of the lunar eclipse....

sometimes, at night... alone in my bed....thoughts arise and get too big for my head...

the moon shines in and beckons me, saying, 'come, and keep me company'...

so i rise and go out alone in the dark...there's enough room out there for the longings in my heart..... the endless thoughts and possibilities.... yes, there's room for them all, out in the night breeze....

just the moon for my company... lingering thoughts surrounding me.... dreams and visions beckoning me.... when it's just the moon and me.

(the lunar eclipse starts tonight around 9 p.m... there won't be another one like this until 2010.....)

Lovely poetry and beautiful picture. I didn't get to see it because I was in bed early last night, so thanks for posting it.

I love your ruminating poetry. You have a gift of words. Terrific shot of the moon. I wasn't successful and gave up. I just watched instead.

It's been almost a month since that nice lunar eclipse. Here in the Montreal, the night was clear, with no cloud. My wife went cross-country skiing with her best friend and they were amazed by the light generated by that eclipse. Around 9h45pm, I could not resist to go up the stair and to wake-up my oldest son, Charles. We stood by his bedroom window for several minutes, just long enough so I can explain the eclipse concept. Nice picture by the way ;)
